TRIANGLE is part of the 2018 Shiguchi collection of Mugen musou. “Shiguchi” is the name of the Japanese traditional technique that is used mainly for wooden architecture. It is a technique that combines and joins two types of wood without using nails. This same technique is used for Mugen musou’s Shiguchi collection.

SHIGUCHI TRIANGLE

TRIANGLE contains a triangle made of ash wood around the hole, and a walnut stripe which runs around the middle of Tama (ball). This design increases the visibility of the Tama and helps you when you play tricks.

There is a 1.5 mm edge around the hole. It is calculated to be the same circumference and curve as the bottom cup, so that it makes easier to do tricks like “Bird”, “Underbird”, and “Handlestall”.

Mugen musou’s new development, “Spindle”, has been applied to this Ken. The shape of the Sarado has been changed, which makes it easier to do turning tricks. The urethane paint is painted on where you put your fingers, so that it prevents your sweat from soaking into the wood as you continue to enjoy performing tricks.

Micro Grip Paint
Mugen musou’s original micro grip paint is coated on the ball, big cup, small cup, bottom cup, and the edge of the bottom cup. The fine particles increase the frictional force and help you to achieve tricks. This paint gives you a nice grip to stably hold the ball and it improves the quality of tricks. Then, you can smoothly transition to the next trick.

Made to order anchor bolt used for the replaceable tip

The cups, body, and ball are dual angle edged. This helps you to increase the supporting surfaces to the ball and broadens the variety of tricks you can perform.  For the string, a string slit is applied, so that it is easy to change the string and it also increases the durability.

TRIANGLEは2018年発売の仕口シリーズの新作です。仕口とは、木造建築などに多く用いられている日本の伝統的な建築技術で、釘などを使用せずに2種類の木材を組み合わせて接合する技法のことです。その技術をけん玉に活かしたものがMUGEN MUSOUの仕口シリーズです。

SHIGUCHI TRIANGLE

「TRIANGLE」は玉の穴の部分に三角形のタモを用いており、玉の中心にはウォールナットのストライプが組み込まれているため、視認性も高くプレーしやすいデザインとなっています。

穴の形状は、入口付近約1.５mmの縁が出来ています。これは、中皿の円周と同じ角度でカーブがついており、うぐいす・まさかり・中皿極意などの静止系の技がより止まりやすい構造となっています。

TRIANGLEには「スピンドル」が採用されています。皿胴の形状を変えることでガンスリングをする回転技がやりやすくなっています。また、指をかける部分に特殊ウレタン塗装をしているため、連続して技を行っても木に汗が染み込みにくくなっています。

マイクログリップ塗装
玉・大皿・小皿・中皿および中皿の縁には細かい粒子で摩擦力をあげて技を決めやすくするMUGEN MUSOUオリジナルのマイクログリップ塗装を施こしています。マイクログリップ塗装により、ピタッと止まるグリップ力で技のクオリティーを上げ、次の技へと繰り出しやすくなっています。

先端取替技術（特許）
ハードに使用するけん玉は、どうしても剣先部分が潰れてしまい、消耗してしまいます。そこで剣先が取替可能な樹脂素材にすることで、3倍以上長持ちするけん玉を開発しました。取替可能な樹脂は「硬すぎると玉が痛む、柔らかすぎると玉が跳ねる」ことから、何度もテストを重ね、結果ABSとPPをオリジナルで配合した樹脂を開発、けん玉に最適な硬さを得ることができました。

皿胴、けん、玉はエッジを二段階（デュアルアングルエッジ）にし、玉との接地面を増やすことで、技の幅をより広げることができます。また紐取り付け部分は、紐の交換のしやすさと耐久性を考慮したスリット形状になっています。
